Vampires vs. Bond at the box office…

According to Variety, the new vampire film, “Twilight”, is set to derail Bond and his top spot at the box office. The reviews for “Twilight” seem in between. I’ve read some that say it’s horrible, and others that say it’s alright. I’m not one to watch cheesy, vampire soap operas, so I won’t be checking the film out. The half-wits over at IMDB have given the film a 5.3 rating. Of course, the site’s not credible, as they rank Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece, “2001: A Space Odyssey”, in the 80’s; however, with the massive amount of fanboys over there who’re probably as obsessed with “Twilight” (novel) as I’m obsessed with Ian Fleming’s works, the low rating doesn’t seem promising.

Either way, Bond has made a considerable amount of money during the past weeks. It’ll probably make more money than “Twilight”, overall. I’m not too worried about it.

The Biggest Bond of All!

According to Box Office Mojo, “Quantum of Solace” has raked in an estimated $329, 197, 473 at international box offices. As of now, Bond’s the biggest film in the world. To view the charts, check out Box Office Mojo’s “Quantum of Solace” page:

Great news for EON Productions, as “Quantum of Solace” will be marked as the highest grossing Bond film of all time. I suggest that everyone goes out to check it out at your local theaters, as it’s a great thrill-ride, and quality entertainment. Plus, if you’re at all a Bond fan, you’re going to love it.
